However, today we find ourselves engaged in a new battle against right-wing forces attempting to co-opt the long-standing fight for equitable education. Right-wingers have pushed a narrative that paints Asian Americans as villains and ignores the history of institutionalized racism they have faced throughout their decades-long pursuit of fair education. It is essential that we continue to emphasize the positive advancements made for Asian American education that has been achieved through grassroots organizing and civil rights activism. We must remind our legislators and school boards to ensure educational equity for all children, regardless of their racial or ethnic backgrounds. Only then can we ensure that all students receive the quality education they deserve.

By uniting together in solidarity, we can challenge those who seek to steal away our narrative and push back against attempts to deny us our rightful place in educational history. We will not be silenced! Let us stand firm in defence of true equity and justice so that generations to come may reap the benefits of fair, equitable education.
