What influences the choices international students make? – provides insight into what factors influence students when choosing to study abroad. The UK’s world-renowned universities and colleges – such as Oxford, Cambridge, and London School of Economics – are major attractions for international students. Nearly half of all survey respondents said they would consider studying at a Russell Group university.

 

Many practical considerations come into play when choosing a university. For example, international students’ English-taught programmes and visa requirements are important factors.

 

The UK’s global reputation is another key factor influencing students’ decisions. In the Ucas survey, 84% of respondents said they were influenced by the UK’s international reputation, while 80% said the English language influenced them.
