The Memphis-Shelby County Faculties board on Tuesday authorised apps for two constitution colleges to be part of the district in 2024-25, whilst denying 7 other folks.
Journey Coleman, an Accomplishment School District constitution faculty, will develop into a constitution faculty below MSCS. Tennessee Career Academy, a new constitution university, will also open in the district. Both colleges will be part of the MSCS district in 2024-25.
Other charter candidates were being denied, but will have a possibility to attraction.
Denying the 4 other ASD constitution school programs leaves the students and workers at the colleges in limbo.

- Empower Memphis Occupation & Higher education Prep, sponsored by Empower Career and Faculty Prep: Denied
- Pathways In Instruction-Memphis, sponsored by Pathways Management Team: Denied
- Tennessee Job Academy, sponsored by TN Vocation Academy Inc.: Accepted
