Ayush Agarwal, a sophomore in high school from San Jose, California, saw this issue firsthand when debate tournaments moved online during the pandemic. Many of his friends needed access to computers or stable internet connections, which prevented them from participating in these tournaments.
So Ayush decided to do something about it. He created the Learning Bulletin Board, a website that connects students who need help with those who can provide it. The Bulletin Board offers tutoring services, resources for online learning, and a forum for discussion.
In addition to providing a valuable service for his community, Ayush hopes that the Learning Bulletin Board will help close the digital divide.
\”I want to make sure everyone has an equal opportunity to learn,\” he says. \”No one should be left behind because of a lack of resources.\”
Since its launch in March 2020, the Learning Bulletin Board has helped hundreds of students from all over the country. Ayush plans to continue expanding the website\’s reach and impact.
According to Ayush, \”The Learning Bulletin Board is a community of students helping students. We believe every student deserves an equal opportunity to learn, regardless of their circumstances.\”
