So what can we do to help our kids through this tough time?

Here are some tips:

  1. Be patient and understanding. This is a difficult time for everyone, so cutting your children\’s slack is important. They may feel stressed, anxious, or even angry about the changes.

  1. Keep communication open. Talk to your children about their feelings and concerns. Let them know it’s okay to feel upset, and assure them you’re there for them.

  1. Help them find ways to cope. Some kids may benefit from activities like journaling or yoga, while others may prefer to express themselves through art or music. Find what works for your child and encourage them to do it regularly.

  1. Stay positive. Maintaining a positive outlook is important, even when things are tough. Help your children see the silver lining in this situation and look for the good each day.

  1. Be there for them. Finally, ensure your children know you love them and are there for them, no matter what. This is a difficult time for everyone, but it’s important to remember that we’re all in this together.

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, anxiety disorders are the most common mental health condition in the United States.

Anxiety disorders can majorly impact a person’s quality of life, making it difficult to work, go to school, or even leave the house.
