In addition to the delays to BTec results, there have also been issues with A-level results in England. Thousands of students received lower grades than expected, leading to claims of a “postcode lottery” regarding rates.

Ofqual is investigating the issue and will report to the government later this month. In the meantime, students who are unhappy with their results can appeal to their exam board.

It is hoped that the review by Ofqual will help to resolve the delays with BTec results and provide some clarity on the situation. In the meantime, students waiting for their results are advised to stay positive and focus on their future goals.
