The impact of Brexit is also evident when looking at the country of origin statistics for international students in the UK. In the past, The Netherlands, France, and Germany have been amongst the top countries of origin for international students in the UK. However, this has changed after Brexit, with China now being the UK\’s leading country of origin for international students.

This is followed by India, The United States of America, Malaysia, and Nigeria. It’s interesting to note that there are currently more Indian students studying in the UK than British students studying in India.

The increase in Chinese students is likely because many see the UK as a safe and welcoming place to study. Additionally, the UK’s world-renowned universities and colleges are increasingly becoming popular amongst Chinese students.
