A 14-calendar year-aged boy who collapsed at a school in Blackburn, West Lothian, on Tuesday died from natural triggers, law enforcement have confirmed.
Hamdan Aslam’s spouse and children uncovered he experienced an undiagnosed coronary heart issue, and emphasised there was “no 1 to blame for his loss”.
Officers had been named to a report of concern for the teenager at St Kentigern’s academy at about 1.20pm on Tuesday. He was taken by ambulance to medical center but died a small time later.
On Friday, Police Scotland announced that a postmortem evaluation had confirmed Hamdan died from organic will cause.
The boy’s spouse and children said they needed “to assure Hamdan’s mates and our group that this was an entirely all-natural loss of life and could not have been predicted”.
In a statement introduced as a result of their solicitor, Aamer Anwar, they included: “Our household is left devastated by the sudden and tragic reduction of our beautiful boy Hamdan who introduced so much pleasure to our lives.
“A full law enforcement investigation is staying carried out, but we can affirm that Hamdan experienced a pre-current coronary heart problem that had never been detected, and sadly his dying could have happened at any time.
“There is no just one to blame for his loss, it was God’s will.”
His family also dealt with speculation about the situations of their son’s loss of life, which intensified on the web and in some media in the times afterwards. Ch Insp Jocelyn O’Connor stated: “This has been a tragic incident which has deeply affected everyone at the school. Our ideas keep on being with Hamdan’s household and pals at this really complicated time and we are providing our help to them. They have asked for privacy and I would request their needs are highly regarded.”
As with any unexpected death, a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
Andrew Sharkey, the headteacher of St Kentigern’s, claimed: “Hamdan was an exemplary student and he will be vastly missed by the St Kentigern’s neighborhood.
“Hamdan was a bright and diligent younger person, and conscientious in his reports. He was extremely friendly, well-known with his classmates and he had a shut team of good friends. He was generally polite and nicely-mannered in class and preferred with his teachers. Hamdan was type and thoughtful in all he did and he was usually pleased, with a beautiful smile.
“Our feelings and prayers continue to be with his household and close friends at this amazingly tricky time.
“Our dedicated workforce at St Kentigern’s academy will continue to present assistance to pupils and we would check with that the family’s privacy is highly regarded.”
